HELP some CD´s only transfer in mono

I have an iPod Picture of 30mb, When I transfer music from some CD´s the songs only play in Mono, and I can only hear my songs in my right earphone. What is strange is that this happens on most CD´s I have from before 2001, like: Erasuer top hits, Now 7, dance music 00, etc.....

Iv changed the i.tunes edit menu so it automatically downloads all music only in stereo in the highest quality and converts it to AAC ( I tried mp3 as well), yet it doesnt work I keep on hearing those CD´s in mono..

Does someone know how I can fix this?

im having the same issue and have the same player

although out of 300 albums i have and most of them are before 2001 as well id say only 5 percent of mine do this but it is annoying as heck if any do this

and all my music is owned not downloaded over net and it plays fine on itunes its just a ipod issue

I hate to admit it, but 85% of my CDs are pre-2001 and NONE of them have this issue.

I would guess that the import of the CD was done in Mono. Check or change your import settings on iTunes and reimport. This will force the import to be stereo: Edit->Preferences, Advanced tab, Importing sub-tab, set the settings to Custom, which will show a new window. In that window, set Channels to Stereo. Click the 2 OK buttons to save the settings.

Now everything you import should be in stereo.
