Saw this tried on another forum and it became massive.
The idea is simple: You answer the question and then you put up your own question and so on and so on.
Here goes...
Guru from Gang Starr's name is an acronym. What is the acronym ?

Where's your question ?
Here's one:
What does Rakim believe MC stands for ?
GadgetGuru72

I don't know iMacc . . . I think that question may be a little too obscure. I knew the one about Gang Starr, but I'm drawing a complete blank on this one.
Did he mention it in a song? I'm trying to think of any songs where he might have said this, but nothing is coming to mind.
We might have to pass on that one and move onto another. ;)

If I'm not mistaken, he was with more than one. One was called WC & The Maad Circle. I can't remember what the other one was called.
Is that the one you're thinking of?

Identify the MC whose name is a mispelled variant of the name of a famous seafood mascot.
Disclaimer: I'm not sure if the "famous seafood mascot" is famous outside of the U.S. If this isn't a "fair" question I'll come up with a new one.

I'll give you a couple of hints: (a) he's not an underground MC, (b) he's in a relatively popular group, (c) they've had 2 major label full CD releases, plus an EP and (d) his name is not in the name of the group -- so, it's not like "Eric B. & Rakim."
Again, if this is too difficult I'll drop it and ask another question. Should I just drop it and think of another one?

Alright, since this is iMacc's thread and he and KDUB82 don't seem too happy with my question, I'll drop it and think of another.
The MC I was referring to is:
Chali 2na from Jurassic 5
The "seafood mascot" is Charlie Tuna, the mascot for Starkist:
http://www.starkist.com/
This question was admittedly a little obscure, especially since the Jurassic 5 MC's don't mention their names frequently . . . if at all.
I can't think of any other good questions right now, but I'll be back later with a replacement question.

On second thought, I'll just throw out an easy one now so that the ball can keep rolling. I'll come up with a harder one for the next time.
So, here's the easy replacement question:
Rakim was supposed to release a CD with Aftermath Records produced by Dr. Dre. Although the CD was never released, what was the title supposed to be?

There's a lot of Tupac fans on this board, so Tupac-related questions are going to be pretty easy.
Here, the trick is what do you mean by "started"?
He technically "started" his rap career with a group called "Strictly Dope." However, I suspect that for the purposes of this question you're referring to Digital Underground.
As for the Paris Hilton thing . . . she's making a CD??

Nope.
Here's a hint: It's related to American Presidential history. It drew its name (not the exact name, but similar) from a domestic reform that the president during De La's time had made.

Let me try to come up with 2 quick questions and I'll post them both at the same time.
GadgetGuru72
06-17-2005, 03:51 PM
Ok, these are both pretty eazy. ;)
Question #1:
Who is Eazy-E referring to when he says: "You're only 60 pounds when you're wet and wearin' boots"?
Question #2:
What song was the inspiration (i.e., beat, tempo) for Eazy-E's (NWA's) song "Boyz In The Hood"?

Question #2:

Do I get bonus points because nobody got the answers right? ;)

Who was Common referring to in his song '' I Used To Love Her '' ?
GadgetGuru72
06-17-2005, 08:55 PM
Don't you mean "what is he referring to" . . . although I guess that would have made the question even easier.
He's referring to hip hop -- i.e., he used to love hip hop until commercial success ruined it/her.

Sorry kidtnt27, but I have no idea what you're trying to ask. What does "tell me what CD is on" mean? Hit'EmUp gave you a link to that AEIOU song, but I'm still not entirely clear on what you're trying to ask.

I see we dont have many Tribe fans...or this was just too hard to figure out. ON the Midnight Marauders Album...at the end of the track We Can Get Down....
There is an interlude that says "A Tribe Called Quest consists of four members Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Mohomed, Q-Tip, and Jerobi. A, E, I, O, U and somtimes Y."
The track that follows is Electric Relaxation....I apologize if I asked the question in a confusing manner.

Wow, a question about an interlude. ;) Nicely done!

Haha I dunno I was hpoing someone would tell me, but those reason sound good.
I think we are still with Gadget-
Question 1: Dilated Peoples
Question 2: Jurassic 5 is actually made up of two crews that came together: Unity Committee [Chali 2NA, Marc 7, and Cut Chemist] and Rebels of Rhythm [Akil and Zaakir (Soup)] thus 5 original members.
DJ Nu-Mark came later.
Let me know if I'm correct & I'll ask the next question.

pmad-
Dilated Peoples is correct. So, you get the next question.
As for Jurassic 5, sounds good to me. Like I said, I didn't know the answer. Except, wasn't DJ Nu Mark on the Jurassic 5 EP, which is the first thing they released. Since their first CD contained 6 people, I always thought it was odd that they were called Jurassic 5.

Area they did best in = Sticking To Themes (10)
Overall grade = C (70)
Song this is mentioned on = Intergalactic
