iPod to iPod copy

I have a 3g 30GB iPod and just bought a 30GB iPod Photo with the intention of giving my 3g to a friend. What is the easiest way to transfer the songs from iPod to iPod? I don't want to have to recatalog or anything if I can avoid it.
