Itrip Weather band stations

Hi..
I just bought a new 2005 Subaru Forester.
It has a CD player but no Tape player..
So my Tape adapter will not work..

I did some research and like the Itrip unit..
I have a 1st Gen Ipod.. and bought the Itrip unit
that gets it's power from the extra ring on the jack,
instead of the Firewire port.

But anyway.. it's very hard to find a clear station in my
area, and since my car has the Weather band stations,
( 162.400 Mhz - 162.550 Mhz ) and all but one are free
I was wondering if I could tune my Itrip to one of
those stations.. I have seen some of the Mods to boost
the power, ( external antenna, antenna boosters.. )
but if I could tune to one of these channels I wouldnt
need to physically Mod the unit.

I'm not sure how the tuner in the Itrip works.. if it's even
ABLE to tune to one of those freq.. or how I would create
an MP3 to program it to one of those freq..

Anyone ever try this.. or know if it's even possible??
