ipod MINI my car :)

still having troulbe!! :(
I have plugged my ipod directly into my xm radio 2 (which has a built in fm modulator) and i'm trying to play the music on my ipod without having to listen to the xm station(s) at the same time!!
Anyone else have this problem or know how to solve?

To answer your question, I must first make several assumptions: (a) When you say FM modulator you actually mean FM transmitter, (b) when you say you plugged your iPod into your XM unit you used a 3.5" headphone cable to run from your iPod's headphone jack to the XM unit's headphone jack.

If that is, indeed, the case, your setup will not work. The XM unit would need to have a line-in jack for that to work (maybe it does but I doubt it?). The XM unit's headphone jack will not serve as the line-in function you're looking for.
