clean-up cassette adapter install?

Firstly...I have a 2004 Maxima and would love to find an easy-ish solution for hard-wiring...but since I haven't been able to, here is my next option. Cassette adapter. I have tried a number of FM transmitters...and they all suck in my car. The cassette adapter works well...but i have a long thin black wire hanging out of my deck down the floor etc.

Has anyone had any installs with visible wire that they have somehow hidden? My interior is beige, if that helps any suggestions...but probably makes it more difficult for hiding purposes.

Personally I don't bother. The wires don't worry me.
What you could do is feed the output wire from the cassette adapter back into the gap between the HU and the facia then run the wire down behind the facia and heater controls and bring it out at the bottom near where the ash tray normally is. I have seen photos of this sort of set up and all you see is a very small section of wire exiting the cassette slot.
The problem is that it makes the cassette adapter more or less a permanent installation.
