I've been reading the old posts regarding different FM transmitters. Sounds like the Roadtrip!+ is great in LA although apparently not so good in Long Island.

Anyways, anyone in the DC metropolitan area have a suggestion for a good FM transmitter?

My car does have a cassette deck but I would like the flexibility of using the transmitter at home on the stereo unless the quality difference is that big. I'm not an audiophile but I can't stand frequent static.

Hi buddy. I wouldnt quote my long island part. have mad a new discovery about the static problem. Read my thread for an update, and perhaps some1 can comment on what the problem is as well. t appears the nose s being created by the ipod tself and not the roadetrp not being able to overpower a rado station.

Whether it's the ipod itself or Roadtrip, it sounds like it's still a problem unless your particular ipod and not all of them. I'm still in the air about getting a cassette adapter or FM transmitter.

I live in Arlington, Virginia and use the iTrip. While I can usually get a fairly clean channel down at 87.7 or 87.9, I would still compare the sound to AM radio. I'm patiently looking for a decent wired solution for our Ford Explorer.
