I just traded in my Honda Accord which had the P.I.E adapter installed for direct audio with my 3G iPod. I used the Belkin charger with the built in amp to plug in the mini jack to RCA connector that went into the P.I.E adapter.
I now have a 2005 Acura TL and want to have my iPod re-installed, but now want to use one of the solutions that incorporate the ability to use the car stereo controls and read the text on my OEM unit. I am looking at the Deniosn Ice>Link Plus (which actually is not currently compatible with the 2005 TL but should be available soon).
My question is this...Does the Ice>Link produce acceptable sound quality and volume? I am especially concerned about the volume aspect. Sine I had the Belkin adapter with the built in amp, the volume was more than acceptable. However, I feel that the straight line out from the iPod is a little weak and am concerned that using the Ice>link without the added amp like the Belkin has, will not give me that extra 'umph' and volume boost. Does anyone feel that the volume is too low with the Ice>link? And of course, is the overall sound quality what it should be for a direct install with the Ice>link?
Thanks in advance!
