I've had my ipod for less than three weeks, and my headphones have already crapped out. Can I get replacement headphones under warrenty or do I have to buy another pair? If I have to buy another pair, as much as I like the look of the white ones, I'm NOT buying another pair of apple ones. I've had dollar store headphones that have lasted longer than these!

Go buy different headphones. Theres some Shure ones everyone's talking about, but I'm not sure exactly what ones.

Yeah I found that part of the site right after I posted this. I just want a bit of clarification, because my ipod is still under warrenty I will not have to buy the replacement headphones?

Also I was thinking of getting another pair of headphones anyway, but I really like the white. (Ok, I go to high school and I like to have the bragging rights of owning an iPod. I'm a bad person.) I was thinking of Shures, but aren't they expensive like alot?

I'm sure Apple just send you out another set - May be worth a visit to the Apple Store if you have one nearby... The Shure e2c's are a good place to start on the ladder of IEM's (In Ear Monitors) Check the web for the best deals :) For everything Headphone related visit Head-Fi (http://www5.head-fi.org) and surf the forums! :D

You don't have to buy new ones, apple will send you them for free.

If you're not willing to put down ~$65+ for Shure E2c's, try Sony's MDR-EX71, which come in white. You might also also find their EX51's in white on Amazon.com for ~$27.

Yes you can get new ones. My shuffle was about 3 months old and the left headphone crapped out and I send them an email and i got new headphones in 2 days.

You mean they ship it to you that fast? Then I should probably email them too, cuz the right headphone has like half the volume of the left one.

They shipped real fast for me. My left earphone had a lot of static so i emailed them and 2 days later i got them. I also ordered my Mini and it was expected to arrive in like 2 weeks and i also got it in 2 days.

To those who got replacement earphones from apple, did you have to send in your old ones, or did they just give you new ones? What did you write in the e-mail?

They just gave me new ones, and I didn't send them an email. You just need to fill out their form at the apple site, and they send them to you in like 1-2 days. Too bad no one was home when they came, I have to drive 30 minutes to pick them up now.

hey i have a problem with the form that you fill out to receive new earphones, it's all smooth sailing up untill the part where I have to put in credit card details. Problem is, that I don't have a credit card and it wont let me go any further :( Anyone have any ideas on how I can get round this? What was the e-mail people used to contact apple?
