Nah, I won't sue you Kurt.
But I will use this opportunity to move this non-iPod related thread to "The Lounge" and see how that function works in the new forums! :D

Huh? Not using Mozilla. Lemme check it out using MSIE.....
EDIT: Oh yeah, I see what you mean, Kurt. Gross.
All the better reason to switch to Mozilla (www.mozilla.org), Kurt! (As if tabbed browsing wasn't enough of a reason! ;))

Edit: Blah. I've tried Mozilla. I dislike it for the same reasons that I dislike Netscape: Too long of a launch time, too many system resources used, and Waaaaaaaay too much clutter on the screen, what with all them weird tabs to the left, buttons on the top, and now tabs on the top too. Icky-poo.

I found one other thing:
When you look at recent replys and then go to the main page, if you hit refresh, the topic still shows that there is a new post.
That's why it's still in beta.:)

Well, that's better, Dennis, but they still do not look "normal" in MSIE6. Now, they are black sliders on dark grey scroll bars.
No effect whatsoever in Mozilla, however. Before or after your change.....

Huh? Not on my P3 600 MHz running WinNT here at work, and not on my Athlon 1200 MHz running WinXP at home!

What wierd tabs on the left? Look at my screen shot in the "Bugs" thread in the VIP Lounge!
buttons on the top, and now tabs on the top too. Icky-poo.
The buttons can be closed on-the-fly (see the little arrow to the left of them in my screenshot?) and tabs are an option that can be turned off (but why anyone would do that, I honestly do not know - one browser window with six concurrent tabbed sessions, or 6 separate browser windows? I can't for the life of me understand why the latter is preferable!)
Maybe you haven't given Mozilla a look-see in a while, Kurt?
MSIE - Icky-poo! :D (Not to start a browser war or anything!)

Very cool new avatar, -e!
You may note that MadPict fixed mine for me, bless his duct-taped little soul.
Tom, your new avatar is quite spiffy, too.
(As a complete aside: Don't name that boy Colum, -e. While I like the name, it's too close in sound to Gollum and we don't want him given a hard time in elementary school.)
:o

She's referring to this (http://johnpauldavis.org/archives/000312.html), for confused folks.
We thought about the "getting made fun of" issue and decided that:
A - Kids, being kids, will think of many other reasons to make fun of other kids. I was named "John" and was stil the butt of many, many jokes.
B - We live in a fairly international, inter-ethnic town. Our neighbor's kids are named Elyse, Zarine, and Tristan. There's a Scottish woman who named her daughter Rhona, and a hippy-type who named her son Bliss. So Colum isn't abnormal for where we live, and one of the whole reasons we moved here was for the schools, so we're not going anywhere any time soon.

OK, as long as you've given it lots of consideration. My daughter has an extremely unusual first name and has taken crap for it most of her life, but at nearly 18 she's learned to love being different. For a while there, I rather wished I'd given her something else despite my love for the name. Interestingly, my son's elementary school class is filled with momentous names like Destiny and Justice and Jubilee and Charity.

See the thing is, it doesn't matter what your name is. The kids are still gonna find a way to pick on it. I used to have my last name pronounced in so many different ways that any way you said it I was being made fun of. But that is when quick whit steps in. So go ahead and name your children whatever you want. Just make sure you teach them to be whitty.:D
Edit - John picked up the deliberate mistake!
It should be " "Whats taters? ....... eh? eh? ...... Whats taters?"
And now I've lost the picture:(
Seems like you can't refresh images with new ones. Even linking to a URL, if you change the picture it doesn't change on the board. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (Again!!)

Bob, I thought Gollum didn't prefer taters. He likes his food raw and wriggling, if I recall...
John you are right, but my memory of LOTR is over 30 yrs old!!
But just for you....
Is it nice, my precious? Is it juicy?
Is it scrumptiously crunchable?

Hello to all! The news forums rule, but the scrollbar still looks a little odd. I'm using win2000 IE6.
BTW: IE6 rules, it's the best browser I've used (I've tried Netscape, Opera and all that crap).
I've not tried Safari though, but I don't own a mac.
hey ... im here ... lovin it ... the new forums are sooo much better than Xorb ... though they serverd their perpose for a time
thanks for all your effort with the new one guys

If any of you haven't used Mozilla Firebird then get it. I use it on Windows and it's the most stable, customisable, and feature-packed browser I've ever used. Oh, and it launches within about a second of clicking it.
Rule it out at your own peril. Read more. (http://texturizer.net/firebird) Get the latest stable nightly, add in a few of the extensions, and then tell me that IE6 rules.

wow this thread hasn't been replied to in a long long time.
The picture shows that iLounge used to have avatars?
interesting, if so i wished they brought back avatars. Seems like every other forum has one but iLounge. Still, iLounge rules all other forums!!!
Way to revive an ancient thread. If you have a suggestion or question about the forums, post it in the suggestions forum.
