Hi,
Trying to figure out how to turn Sound Check on/off in script. I looked through the iTunes dictionary, and found no mention of Sound Check. And since the on/off for Sound Check is on a Preferences panel, not on a menu, I can't figure out how to use this type of code: Code:
tell application "System Events"
tell process "iTunes"
keystroke "h" using {command down}
end tell
end tell
Thanks, David |

...GUI scripting for iTunes stinks. Don't waste your time.
You can't use GUI scripting to do anything in iTunes Preferences. I think fellow-Mod deeg did some trials in this area a while ago. I would be surprised if anything has changed in recent versions of iTunes. My fave "can't do": can't switch the designated Music folder location. Otherwise, Sound Check is not scriptable.
