I have access to an Apple TV 2nd Gen for $100. Considered buying it to jailbreak. Is it still worth it to run a jailbroken Apple TV? What can I do with it outside of XBMC/Kodi?

Just curious, is the current 3rd generation not "jailbreakable"? That would be the only reason I could see not buying the 3rd generation, since Apple just dropped it to $69.

correct the gen 3 model (the one currently for sale) is not jailbreakable. If you do a quick eBay search for Gen 2 Apple TV they are usually for sale from around $150+. Just never had an Apple TV so wondering if its worth having the jailbroken 2 or just save my money and get the 3.
