Home PC: Dell Studio XPS (Core i7) with iTunes
Apple TV: 2nd Generation Router: Netgear N When watching a program on my iTunes library through the Apple TV, occasionally the signal drops and it takes me back to the main Apple TV menu and the computer is no longer recognized. Sometimes the Apple TV re-recognizes the computer quickly, sometimes I have to close and reopen iTunes on the PC in order for the Apple TV to recognize the computer again. Does anyone else have this happen to them? It is so frustrating to be watching a movie and it cuts out (does NOT remember where it stopped). It has happened 2 minutes into the program or an hour...there seems to be no pattern. I get great WiFi throughout my home and I even have the Apple TV wired directly into the router! The problem has to be my PC or the Apple TV itself. My PC settings do NOT allow for it to go to sleep or for the hard drive to turn off. The Apple TV has lost signal while the PC is in use! I welcome any ideas!!!! |
