Im' trying to find the right product for my application. I have two vehicles that I'd like to install a direct ipod connection to. I own a 00' F150 Lariot 4x4offroad and a 02' Ford Ranger edge. Each have stock head units. The f150 has a 6 cd changer in the center console and the ranger has a 6cd changer in the head unit itself. Please help me find the right product for each vehicle.

well looks like you are going to have some trouble there. the auxilliary adapters that are needed to accomplish this, 1) don't work with in-dash cd-changers 2) take the place of external cd-changers. this is according to PIE who makes the adapters. the company could be wrong though

My 2001 Ford Escape has a factory in-dash 6 disc CD player and I installed the aux input adapter from Crutchfield. It works fine with my iPod.

His other unit, with the built-in 6disc *may* have an external changer plug for a bigger external unit. |

Do u require that songs' information be displayed on the head? Do u require playlist selection capability via the head? Beware, the more u want, the more$. |
