Hi guys,
I have a 3G dock and a 4G ipod, apple says the 3g dock doesn't support 4G, I think it will charge it but I am afraid it will damage my 4g ipod. does anybody know if will I damage my ipod by docking it in a 3g dock? will I be able to charge my ipod even that apple says it won't "support"it? by saying 3g dock I mean: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL....6.25.7.11.0.3 Thanks all Last edited by mos86; 11-23-2004 at 05:09 PM. |

It would be typical of apple to make all 3G owners upgrading to 4G have to buy entirely new docks/accessories. Does this company's greed ever stop?

My friend has a 3g 20GB ipod with a dock, while I have a 4g 20GB ipod ... I've used her dock before with no problems.
The dock connector is the same size, so it fits for both generations of ipods. ~ Jocey

Thanks, but do you have an idea why does apple says it won't support it? -->did you charged or synced, or both? Thanks |
