Hey all,
This is my first post, so I wanted to make it a good one. I just got a great deal on the Shure E3Cs. I did a lot of searching and reading in this forum to try to decide which earphones I wanted. I finally decided on the EC3s. Then, I tried to get the best price I could. Here text from an email I got that shows how you can get them for $124 shipped (in the US) and with full warranty. ENJOY! "Authorized Shure dealers CANNOT advertise the E3c for less than $179 however we can sell for as low as we can/want.... When you buy from an Authorized dealer you are guaranteed for repairs and replacement at no charge for 2 full years. No matter what other non-authorized dealers tell you, they cannot guarantee that. One year and a half down the road if you need a free replacement, Shure will ask for a copy of that invoice. Even if you lost ours, all it takes is a phone call to us and we can reprint that invoice in a heart beat. The lowest we can do with our sales conditions is $124.00 + FREE shipping (continental US). For that simply enter coupon code e124e3c For the FREE shipping (within continental US only), simply type on the comments field: "FREE shipping, Code 15888." We will adjust shipping cost to ZERO AFTER we receive your order so you will not see the free shipping at completion of the check out. Thank you, MicrophoneSolutions.com EarphoneSolutions.com [end of quoted email]" |

I got my eC3's earphonesolutions.com (pretty sure they're the same outfit) not long ago at that price. One thing I would like to add is that they have some pretty good customer support via e-mail at times as late as 11:00pm CST. When I first started wearing the foamies my ears were getting pretty sore. After a few days of that I finally e-mailed them about the issue, stating that I might be considering returning the phones. Maybe 15 minutes later I get an e-mail back from them that ended up (2 e-mails later) identifying what it was that I'd been doing wrong that led to the discomfort. That's service at almost 11:30 at night. They earned points in my book with that..

I've lost two pairs of Apple earbuds already, and several other brand name sets, due to a cat who thinks the cords are fun to chew on. You turn your back for 2 seconds, and bam, the cord is chewed through. After 6 incidents, I've learned to not leave my Ipod out at all!
I refuse to buy anymore expensive earphones. Call me cheap, but spending more than $25 for earphones makes me crazy. Even before the cat, I've never had a pair that lasted more than a year. I've tried various high-priced brands (Sony) after my original Ipod earbuds got damaged, but the costs to keep replacing the buds was getting ridiculous. I've had good luck with two very cheap brands. Maxell makes a pair that can be found in most drugstore chains in the New York area for $6.99. An even better bargain are earphones made by Sentry - grand total $2.99 at many Duane Reade drugstores. It sounds too good to be true, but the sound quality is very good. |

Buy.com has the Shure E2c for $64.99. There's also a slew of $5 off coupons. So, the total is $59.99, and there's free shipping.

I just got a pair of 'SoundWise SnowDrop' prototypes. No I'd never heard of them either.
They are the same size as Sony EX71's, but they are lighter, more comfortable and louder than the sony. I also thought they had a better range, stronger base and brighter high end. I think the price will be $10 cheaper than Sony too! I think the release date will be the end of march! |
