Here are some pics of what I did to install my Ipod in my 2004 GMC Sierra. I also have a similar set up in my wife's Yukon.




Very quick dock connection and all wires are under the dash.



The dock connector is all that holds the IPOD in place.

damn that is nice. i like how you cant see the dock or anything. how did you get the dock to fit in there, and stay in there well?

I took the Apple dock and disected it and only used the internals. I measured and cut a hole just big enough for the stripped dock connector to poke through the factory GM console. The dock connector and the corresponding board was then secured to the underside of the factory GM console. I used 4 micro screws to attach the connector to the console.

I am using an AAMP Aux line in adapter with the factory Bose system. In additon a belkin charger was used to provide power. All wires are concealed under the console.
