Shure E2c: Am I the only one who prefers the silicone tips??

I actually prefer the small clear silicone tips over the foams because they are easier to insert, much more durable, look better, and I don't find them uncomfortable.

I tried the foams, and they do give better sound and are more comfortable, so I will probably use them for extended listening or long trips. But If I'm on the go, the small flex sleeves are it.

Am I the odd ball?

No, I think you're right on. I also used the clear sleeves when I had the E2. In fact, before I switched to triple flanges, I was using the clear sleeves on my E3s. I think the sound is a bit better than the gray flex sleeves. The clear sleeves are actually pretty comfortable after a day or two of use. I never had any comfort issues.

Silicone tips all the way! I tried the foamies one time! I have 'em for all my phones, B E C A U S E "everybody" said they were the way to go! DOH! My ears seem plenty happy with the silicone tips and I figger the foamies will just be more labor intensive, an' that all I need, so..........

As usual, my 2 cents worth!! ;-)

How are those silicon jobs with running? Has anybody any experience? I am not sure but I am at the point to purchase either the

Shure e2 or Etymotics ER-6

since they are so closely matched. Its down to comfort and reliablility when i run and work-out in the gym

any further advise?
