I'm not trying to compete with or throw off StinkieDMB because I got my dock idea from him. The main difference is that mine can actually be used as a docking station becaise the iPod snaps into it. But if you have some K'nex you can use my tutorial. E-mail me for it. I'll give it to the first few people for free so they can post wether they like the end result or if it sucks. Frodo08@mac.com

Hehe, I quickly threw together a little station for my on the way mini yesterday. Upon finishing it, I decided to measure it and found that it was about a quarter of an inch too small.

That was a bad start >_<

Anyways, I'm trying to throw something together for my pod as well.

Well I made my stand yesterday. Nothing flashy, nothing special, but I'm pretty sure it WILL be functional (picking it up tonight

So there's a hole for a cable and stuff

This is actually the second version like I said before. That first one actually had wheels so that it could swivel in a circle, this one just stands because I did the base differently.

It's actually REALLY simple, just getting a sturdy base is where the real work is.

Ha ha, thanks stinkie!

Not quite as flashy as yours but mine is for a mini only as well so I don't need it that high up.

Hehe, all of my "special pieces" are still in their models. I never break up my sets :P

BTW: I just noticed your an engineer too! Awesome

er guys........

*hint*hint

Pieces available at http://www.bricklink.com

and the particular part described as an airplane part is called:
Support 2 x 4 x 5 Stanchion Inclined

and can be found here on the BL catalog:
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4476

on the above link, click on one of the colours on the bottom left column to view a list of sellers who stock that item.

You'll need to register. It works ina similar sort of way to eBay's "Buy It Now" system, and you can pay with the methods offered bu the seller, e.g., cheque, cash, postal and moey orders, PayPal, etc... and the feedback system is similar to that of eBay. Feel free to ask any Q's.

Best Regards,
Dan

Ya Know

You gotta contact Lego or Apple or someone. Patent this or copyright the design before we start seeing these on the shelves of Wal-Mart or Target. "The new Lego iPod stand, come with everything you need to bulid your own Lego stand for the world famous iPod. Yours for $19.95. (As seen on Oprah)". How many ideas ended up on the shelves this way?
