aux static only when ipod plays??

So many topics on static, but none that seem to cover what happens to me.

When I connect any of my 3 ipods to the aux in my car, there is no hum or static at all. I can put the sound volume to the max, nothing.

Then I hit play on the ipod and songs are covered by a static hum. Stop playing and the static hum stops. This is for any of my 3 ipods.

From the other posts I already tried to have no phone in the car, to connect or disconnect from the cigarette lighter. Same thing happens every time. The car is new (seat ibiza 2011).

Where does this static hum come from? Are my ipods broken? Hope someone can help me solve this static hum problem!

So, shouldn't be the iPod; need to figure out if it's the cable or the car stereo.
- Try a different cable with the car stereo
- Try an iPod & your cable with some other device (home stero system, etc.)

Sounds like a broken ground inside the cable, change the cable and check the connection to the radio
