Looking for a good dock that is not bulky (like the clock-radio ones) but that has a tuner.
Any ideas? |

There are tons of models out there. The ones from iHome come highly recommended. The best thing you can do is go down to your local electronics or Apple store (even if you don't plan on buying from there) and play around with them to see which brand/model you like best.

I am NOT looking for an alarm-clock-dock. Just a speaker system with a tuner built in. The only one I can find thus far that isnt bulky is the Altec Lansing but it hasnt gotten the best reviews. I will look at iHome but am looking for specific recommendations; items that people here have purchased and have enjoyed using. |

You are mistaken, there are a bunch of iPod compatible speaker systems with am/fm support from Sony, iHome, Altec Lensing, Logitech, and a bunch of other brands. That's what I am trying to tell you. You would be better off reading up on the review sites and then trying models out in person. The likelihood of people coming to a common conclusion in a baron thread are slim to none. Instead you need to rely on outside sources (both iLounge and Cnet post extensive reviews) along with your own experience in the stores.
