BMW X3 2007 Ipod interface problems

Hello, I am new to this forum and I am hoping that I could get some guidance from those with more experience with BMW ipod interface. I recently purchased a BMW X3 2007 and had the dealership install an ipod interface. I was told that the interface would allow "seamless" integration with the Navi. Well, it is far from it. In fact, it turns out that I can create only 5 playlists and there is no way to search my music by artist, genre, or any other category. An additional annoying feature is that it does not allow me to create a playlist that contains podcasts. It is a rotten deal. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

that is how that kit works, they limit it a lot, they believe that with changing tracks it will keep bmw owners happy because of the sound quality and ,less distractions, that is the crap we go when we took a 2005 5 series for the ipod interface, and we have Idrive in this vehicle, so our customer was very upset in your case you have other options, the dice interface will work better and let you do a lot more, it will also display all the ipod text on the dash cluster
