I'm new at this......
I have a Gen 4 I-Pod and would like to connect it to a Pioneer DEH-7500MP. I also have a Sony 10 disc CD changer. I would like to hook both to the head unit. I have researched a Pioneer CD-IB100ii IPod interface adapter. My head unit has an Aux input, but I assume it is not IPod ready. Is the Adapter the appropriate item to use? It seems to have both an IP-bus input and output, so I assume I could still hook up my CD changer. The CD changer also has a port labeled IP-Bus. I would like to be able to control my CD changer from the head unit. I assume the adapter will only allow me to play my IPod thru the head unit and not be controlled from it. That's fine since I plan to have my IPod next to the head unit. Am I thinking properly? Is there a simpler way? I want to ensure I can charge my IPod thru the single base connection and also play/control my CD from the head unit.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
