iHome8 - docked iPod Touch keeps beeping (unlock screen)

When I first got my iHome8, my touch was fully charged. I placed it on the dock and away I went. My nature sounds on repeat all night. Beautiful.

Last night, my ipod had no battery (which was strange because it was on the dock all night-something must have switched the display on). So I put it on the dock and got ready for more nature sounds.

About an hour into listening, my ipod started making that annoying low beep and the screen would turn on to the unlock screen, then turn back off, then beep and turn on again an off again. All while playing music. Made it impossible to listen to it. I checked and double checked the connection of the ipod and the dock and it seemed really secure.

What could possibly be wrong? I can't believe you can't listen to music while charging your ipod on this system. It can't be that. Any ideas?

Did you ever get this resolved? I've just bought an IH8 and I've got exactly the same problem. I took the first one back to the Apple store where I bought it but the replacement does exactly the same thing. After about 15-20 minutes of having the Touch docked it get into this cycle of beeping. It happens even if the iPod is not being used to play music so basically I cannot leave my iPod charging overnight because it's too noisy!

I have the same problem with my IH8 and my Ipod Touch V1.
My IH8 worked perfectly for a few months but now,
my ipod keep beeping after a few minute of charging after beeing docked.
How did you resolve this issue ?
I thought about sending it back to the store, but could be the Ipod Touch faulty ?
Mine is a refurbished Ipod Touch V1, firm. 3.0, jailbroken.

Anyone with the same problem ?
