The Belkin car adapter isn't an FM transmitter, it provides a line out signal which can be fed into many car stereos.

If your car stereo doesn't have a line level input, then the Belkin TuneCast Mobile FM Transmitter or Cassette Adapter could be used.

Yeah, and most in-dash players dont have AUX inputs on the face. The adaptor you bought is just for power. You can use it with a cassette adapter, or an FM transmittor.

But, I just bought an AIWA in-dash player with an AUX input, and I am LOVING it.

Good luck!
