Since I installed my iPod into my car a few weeks ago, I found myself paying much too much attention to it from a safety standpoint. So, in the interest of safety (and obsessing), I decided to install my Apple inline remote.
It was important to me that the installation of the remote be as clean and unobtrusive as the ipod itself. It was only after I tore my car apart and finished installing the inline remote that I learned about a wireless remote from Engineered Audio (www.engineeredauoio.com) called "RemoteRemote." I have the Belkin remote that I use at home but couldn't use in the car due to clearance problems. I ordered a "RemoteRemote." After it arrives, I'll decide whether or not to tear my car apart - yet again - to remove the inline remote. Also, does anyone know if there is any firmware available or any way to program your iPod so its power options work exclusive of each other? In other words, is there a way to have the iPod work exclusively on external power so that when the power source is removed the iPods battery does NOT take over? Thanks in advance!! |

I'm sorry for taking up so many different posts. I don't know how to post images correctly.

My mistake on my original post: I said that I use a belkin remote at home when in fact it's a NaviPod remote www.drbott.com. That's the receiver you see attached to the top of my iPod in the last image. The charge indicator in the last image is the only one I have ever seen on the 3G iPods. My iPod is 3,600 songs strong, and it plays like a symphony. |
