Bose Sounddock Trade In?

okay so i have a white bose sounddock and it makes a weird frequency kind of static noise when i scroll on my click wheel and also when its just docked in, so i tried my ipod on my friends BLACK one and it doesn't make noise, then i tried it on another white one that my friend has and it makes noise. Mind u i got my bose before the video ipods were out, so im thinking maybe that after they came out bose fixed or altered the sounddock. so i called them and they said i coudl do an exchange and get a new one but i have to go 2 weeks without it, but i don't wanna do that. So i emailed bose and they said to try and go to the store and see if they will trade becuase im still underwarranty. the person from bose said they heard of this happening before. Does anyone think the bose store will exchange it for me. Also u think its possible i can get a black one from them.....

sorry for long post someone maybe can help

Please let me know how this turned out for you. I am on my 2nd Sounddock (both black) and they each have that whistling/frequency noise. Im not sure what I am going to do next.

Get something better?

Seriously. Some Bose kit is great, but too often you're paying for the Bose name on seriously mediocre kit, like the Sound Dock.

If you must have a dock, and can't stretch to Fatman iTube, then the Jamo i300 is very good, the Apple iPod HiFi beats the Bose, and so does the iDeck.

If you can live without a dock then the Roth Audioblob2 is well worth looking at. You can use an Apple iPod dock if that's important, or just plug into the headphone jack.
