iPack messenger bag/backpack

Target is selling "iPod" messenger bags and backpacks. Has anyone bought one of these yet? I am interested in the messenger bag, but since my local Target doesn't carry it, I want to know what they are like. Since they're in a unique category (iPod backpacks), what kind of features do they have? Is there some special sort of pocket for a laptop computer and iPod? If anyone could let me know (specifically about the messenger bag), I'd appreciate it.

I just got mine today, you can turn it on from the shoulder strap. All you have to do is place the iPod in the hidden pocket on the inside of the bag, attach the cables (very easy) and there you have it, just plug up your head phones or ear phones, the plug for the head/ear phones is located on the shoulder strap. In addition to that, it has a cell phone pocket, pockets for your pens/pencils or what ever, you can carry your lap top in there and it will be very safe in there, even if you have your lap top in there, you will still have alot of space left for anything
else. This is really worth the buy .

Question Dimensions

Ultima_1111,

Could you tell me the dimensions of the inside of the laptop compartment? I just bought a MacBookPro 15.4 in. screen and all of the messenger bags that i've looked at so far have not been big enough to fit!! Thanks

i just bought the messenger style at target today, there onsale for 49 until saturday (8/12) and i can confirm that it is compatible with the 5th gen and nano. I just checked on ebay to see if i could get one cheaper and all of the ones on there are the older style which are not compatible with the 5th gen and nano. To dell the difference the new ones have a silver rectangle sorta shape on the front and not the silver trim around the outside. The ipod controls work great and my 12 inch powerbook seems to be very protected inside. Just thought id throw in my 2 cents.

Ty

I have been trying to find the dimensions for this bag, but can't seem to. Is it big enough to hold a 17 inch laptop?

For Rebecky,
I heard that the bag was about 19 inches long and 14 inches high. (Correct me if i'm wrong.)
So I believe that it should be able to hold a 17 inch laptop.

For keithwklb,
Have you tried the backpack with the ipod not on hold?

My Own Question -
Is target only having a sale for the messenger bag alone or also the regular ipack backpack. I'm not that much into the ipack messenger bag but more into the regular ipack backpack.. For some reason I don't see neither of them on Target's website anymore...

When I tried it out in store with my mini, I didn't have to connect the headphone jack. That might be what's messing you up. I've also heard about a 7 second auto lock? That you have to hold a certain button to unlock it? Try that.

I saw this in store and fell in love, but it was $69. Now people are saying it's $49 with a free $20 iTunes card until saturday? I really want this bag now.

That's what i mention before... They used to have the messenger bag and the backpack on their website. Now they removed it for some odd reason.... Guess, so people wouldn't find out?

I just got the messenger version. Apparently they don't work with nanos or 5G's for some reason (or so I've been told). Luckily I have a mini.

I was wrong about the headphone thing, I got confused since I had the headphones plugged directly into the iPod when I tried it out the first time.

Anyone else annoyed about the auto-lock feature? They should have totally removed it, imo. It's useless and annoying.
