you could get iPod mini, 4th gen, 3rd gen, and Shuffle internal replacable batteries at Futureshop? I wasn't aware either untill yesterday, where I saw them. I asked the price for the mini battery and the guy said it was $29.99 (in Canada). Go HERE and scroll up and down the page for the batteries. They don't have any pictures up yet though
. Also, I couldn't find the batteries on Futureshops site either.btw, does anyone know the mah of the original battery in the ipod mini? |

30 is a rip-off.
Ebay has 600mahs (as opposed to the 560 on that site) for 6.99-7.99 and 7 for shipping. That's half the price for a battery that's better. I can also find 720mah batteries online for 29.99, same price as that 560, but almost half as much better. I would reconsider. Oh, and for the poster, the original size is 400. |

Anytime. I'm a huge iPod mini enthusiast. I've spent too many hours searching for iPod mini stuff.
EDIT: Froogle anything: http://www.emartinc.com/catalog/prod...ducts_id=10523 Found it for 30.08, can't get any better than that.

are there any other ways to improve "stock" battery liffe besides buying/making an external battery or swapping it out for a different one ?. I looked at the Apple/HP (I have the HP 4GB mini) battery saving tips section but it didn't really help.

Not really. Just don't use the backlight too much, only when necessary, and don't use EQ settings.
