I'm jealous Florian. Nice collection ;).

I don't have mine yet, but I have some really vintage nickelodeon episodes (almost impossible to find). MTV News Video Podcast, VH1 Best Week Ever Podcast, and 6 Music Videos. For movies I have the Breakfast Club, and a bootleg of Wicked: The Musical.

how are you guys able to fit so many movies/music videos? is there a particular program you need to compress the video file into a smaller size?

since so far i have like 29 Music Videos = 675 MB

5 Comedy Vid Clips = 235 MB

wow many of you collect more video stuff as much as I do! but here is a question. if you finish one movie, will you keep it in your video ipod or delete? because watching movie more than one time is pretty much not happened to me. not only movies but also TV shows (except some funny ones like the office) I usually delete them after watching twice maximum. itunes has all of them so it doesn't matter to delete. how are you guys doing for?

That's a question I have been debating myself. My plan is to rip my entire DVD collection, with a few exceptions, to the iPod format and keep it on one of my RAID arrays and then reduce the number of Movies a keep on my iPod. That way I can swap out movies on the fly, or before I leave on business travel.

I'm purchasing a larger HD to keep my movies on and when I connect I change which movies I have based on which ones I watched and which ones I have not watched. I keep my favorites on the iPod since I do watch them quite a bit. I'm ripping my entire DVD & VHS collection & converting it and I'm not nearly finished. (431 items; 15.1 days; 132.78GB) so far.

This is probably a questionable question by me because of copyright issues but how do you plan on getting past some of the protections?? I've had a hard time lately with ripping dvds. If the mods deem this inappopriate I could PM you I suppose.

I bet apple thought about that one...

I've not encountered any problems ripping DVDs to my HDD so far. Handbrake seems to be working fine. I assume you are speaking of DRM on DVDs.

What DVDs specifically have you had problems with?

From what I understand, Handbrake for the PC is nowhere near as good as it is on the Mac..
