How fo you guys take out the mini off the belt clip?

Hello guys, my 3rd day with my mini.
I have a problem taking it out from the belt clip.
How do you guys take yours out from the belt clip?
I wanted to slide it up or down but on the maul it warned the user not to slide, cause it could damage the rubbur thing on the belt clip, if that happens it could not hold the mini very well anymore.
i dont want scratch my mini.. so i want to you guys how u take your mini off the belt clip
