My guess is you are on iOS 5.1.1 and this is the original iPad (models A1219 and A1337). It can't be upgraded beyond this iOS version.
If you have an iPad 2 (models A1395, A1396 and A1397) or iPad 3 (models A1416, A1403 and A1430), you could plug into iTunes and upgrade to iOS 9.3.5. You can see the Model in Settings->General->About.
I doubt you have a newer iPad as the newer ones came with iOS 6 and above.

I would say that the infrastructure required to play a catch up program is not supported in iOS 5.1.1.
If you have the iPad 2 or iPad 3 then the upgrade might help, or it may also not be capable of supporting the requirements.

The video provider may require that you upgrade your iOS or hardware.



Have you backed up your iTunes Library this week? If not, you are risking losing your music and playlists....
