Is there such a thing as an offline movie app?

I have youtube (so universal :-D), Viki and Free horror movies apps but as we all know, we could only watch the films from the said apps with an internet connection.
Is there a movie app that I could download and watch the movies offline? Or the said app doesn’t exist? If it doesn’t well maybe I just have to go back to my usual streaming ways, hehe. Nothing, this kind of app just crossed my mind.
