I've recently restored both my iPhone and iPad do they are no longer jailbroken, and it happened again the other day. As I sat watching the video listing on my iPad, the unread dot disappeared from a video I'd just watched on my iPhone.
At the time my computer was in the process of shutting down. I'll try to recreate it exactly and post some specifics.
