Are these items that you've purchased directly to your Touch over wi-fi? I've seen that for items I've purchased directly to my iPhone. Try logging out of your iTunes store account on your Touch and then log back in, that cleared it up for me.
If that doesn't help you can try going to Settings/ General/ Usage/ Music, then swipe across "All Music" from left to right and tap Delete. That doesn't actually delete your music, but seems to clear up loose ends in the music database.
