Reeder and security - are you using your main accounts?

I'm curious to know whether Reeder users are using their main Gmail accounts with Reeder. It's unclear how the login is being handled to get feeds into the app so I'm a bit hesitant to buy the app even though it seems like it's exactly what I want out of a google reader
