i'm assuming you're talking about the sportsuit convertible. i couldn't really tell from the pix. i bought this case before my ipod even arrived.
yes, it's not the most stylish thing. and i only use it for the gym. but i'd have it no other way. as another poster pointed out, there are instructions that come with the case that tell you how to correct attach the armband. i haven't used the belt clip, so i can't respond to that.
i think it's the best case to use at the gym. it fits well on my arm and is easy to get in and out of the case - yet still fits snuggly inside. i rarely use the lid anymore, but i've never had any problems with it.
all my holes line up correct and i have to say i give it 5 out of 5.
perhaps try contacting the place you bought it from and exchange it. maybe you just got a dud.
