Is there a more permanent way of turning these off without killing them in processes everytime you boot?

I've been reading around, but apart from going into msconfig - and then onto start up programs, there isn't a way around. I'm sure I tried this method another time anyway, and it didn't work. I usually try to avoid the msconfig method for programs, instead changing settings so they don't open on boot, so any additional info you have on disabling these would be great. thanks.

There also was a workaround for installing iTunes without even installing those two programs, but it was a lot of work....

I've stopped my Yahoo Widgets. They were using a lot too, but geez they were fun.
