i just did the sync, and i did lose all of my apps from my iphone.. i'm sure there is a way to avoid this happening, but apparently i was barking up the wrong tree here. now to redownload and install all my apps again.
perhaps u should try to understand the question being asked a little more thoroughly before dishing out advice deftdrummer1. glad i took precautions and wrote down a list of all my apps before going ahead with the sync... other less astute people might have just trusted your advice to start and found themselves with no apps and no reminder of what was there before.
