hello, i'm not sure which section this should go in so i hope its ok here.
long story short: i usually dj with my mbp but i spilled vodka all over it which was costly to fix, so i wanna dj using 2 ipods connected directly to the mixer.
my question is... do i need a preamp of some kind to use the headphone socket? i'd rather not have them docked to use the line out...
i've not been able to find any decent info online, there are photos of people using ipods from the headphone socket so i assume its fine but the club i dj at says that whenever they have tried it the sound is really quiet.
