Hi,

I have a 80Gb 5.5g iPod, yesterday I clicked update, and updated to 1.2.3, it all seemed to go fine. Then when I tried to add more songs to my library and transfer them to the ipod it wouldnt work.

To be specific this is what happens:
I connect the ipod, windows recognises it, itunes recognises it, and it comes up in itunes. If I click ANYthing to do with the ipod, it immediatly disconnects (the actual ipod stops says "do not disconnect" and goes to the normal ipod menu, to choose songs).

The itunes left hand menu still shows the ipod, but of course it wont respond, and I have to disconnect the ipod from the laptop to make itunes reponsive again.

Any ideas at all? I cant even restore the ipod because it disconnects before I can. Also I have deleted and re-installed itunes and quicktime twice now.
(im using itunes 7.5 by the way).
