bringing this issue back up - had this happen to me today. iPod is 2 months old, and hasn't been heavily used- 3 days a week perhaps, and only a few hours a day. I synced last night, it was docked for 6 hours perhaps - showed fully charged. Turned it on this AM on the plane, showed '1' bar down from full charged. Selected a video, and boom, 'very low battery' and did the apple icon thing... connected it to laptop, didn't get it to turn on. Reset didn't change the behavior. Plugged it into an AC adapter at work, and it did turn on, but then if I try to play anything it says low battery. I let it sit, and it said 'charged' in about 10 min... but no change in behavior if I try to use it. I will let it charge, but seems that something else is going on.

Oh, just noticed the clock is way off too.. perhaps the battery did fully discharge somehow, even though it was 'on hold' and not used till this AM?
