I tried reformatting my 1G iPod which I just put a 20GB hard drive in, but it still gives me the folder/exclamation error.

I don't quite understand what I'm supposed to do for the last cylinder size for the third partition. In the instructions, it doesn't list anything for "Last cylinder or +size or +sizeM or +sizeK" with the last partition. I tried using the default to no avail, and once again I'm having difficulty getting the iPod back into disk mode.

EDIT: BTW, GParted has fdisk on it in case you don't want to download a bloated LiveCD. I couldn't get Knoppix's fdisk to work ("input/output error", if it can't get any more vague than that). GParted was immediately able to pick up my firewire iPod.
